THIS INITIATIVE SUPPORTS OUR HELPING KIDS EAT BACKPACK WEEKEND FOOD PROGRAM. The inspiring words of the Executive Director, Judith Clark, are "...that no child seeking food need ever go hungry"...

Volunteer Opportunities - Join Us In Making A Difference In The Community!

Board Members - we are seeking serious-minded and committed individuals with a heart to serve, to help take us to the next level!

Food drive volunteer: Assisting with collecting food donations for elementary and middle school children. SSL and community service hours available. Saturdays and /Sundays, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. (any four-hour slot). .

Food sorter: People needed to sort and pack food filled backpacks for low income elementary and middle school children.

Grant writer and/or grant researcher: Assist with grant writing, research and/or grant review for various requests for proposals. Training provided. Hours flexible.

Newsletter Aide: Assist with all phases of creating a newsletter, including but not limited to help with writing articles, creating artwork and/or pix, gathering poetry and other data for newsletter

Receptionist: Assist receptionist with answering overflow calls, typing, filing, and general office work. Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Web Designer: Assist with web additions/enhancements, also working with web optimization.

Marketing Assistant: Assist our marketing team with calls generated to expand our programs; assisting with PowerPoints, designing flyers, process mass mailings for special events, etc.

Welcome to the official site of Women Who Care Ministries! We are so excited about all the of many things God is going to use us to accomplish this 11th year, and in the years to come. Please sign our guestbook, to let us know you were here. Also, please visit us again real soon, as we are still building this wonderful site, and have much more information to present to you. Year 11 is our year of expansion! We're continuing to go places where many don't want to travel; in the prisons, in shelters, in homes for battered women; in the schools, because it's all about glorifying God through service to others! We're extremely excited about our fast-growing *"Helping Kids Eat Backpack Weekend Food Program"* that was launched in November 2008. We are currently providing over 800 backpacks filled with kid-friendly nutritious food items each week that the children take home with them, to ensure low income children aren't hungry over the weekends. With your help we are able to do this! We are also grateful with our partnership with Montgomery County Family Justice Center. We provide kid-friendly food items to children who visit the Center with their parents to handle their domestic violence concerns. We realize that when men and women are abused they often have to leave their residence with nothing but the clothes on their back. And many times their children are with them. The yummy kid-friendly yet nutrious snacks are a source of comfort to the children, but also provide the much needed nutrition and sustenance they need as they transition into a safer environment So we are excited that our Loving Kids Food Program can help meet the needs of these precious children coming to the Center. All of our programs are very needed, and we are grateful of the opportunity to be of service.
